This language is a rich mix of Sanskrit, Persian, Arabic, Marathi, and Hindustani, all rooted in Konkani. Since Navayathi doesn’t have its own script, it’s written using the Urdu script, which comes from Persian. The Navayath community has spread far beyond Bhatkal, with members living in many parts of India and around the world.
