About Arra Accommodation Group
A group of businessmen from Canberra, inspired by a trip to the USA, recognized the opportunity to create a motel chain in Australia similar to the popular ‘Motel 6’ there. They went on to build ‘Motel 7’ in the Canberra suburb of Narrabundah, which became the first member of what was called the Budget Motel Referral Service Association. The main goal of the chain was simple: to provide clean, comfortable, and affordable accommodation for travelers across Australia.
