If someone told you to put formaldehyde and ammonia on your hair and leave it for 30 minutes, you’d probably say no. But that’s exactly what happens every time someone gets their hair colored at a typical salon. I’ve been a hairstylist for 12 years, and after being diagnosed with adult-onset allergies related to the products used in the industry I love, I knew something had to change. Rather than giving up on my passion, I began researching natural alternatives to create a healthier, chemical-free salon experience.
