About Dunn's Bakery
Dunn’s of Crouch End is a family-run bakery founded by Christopher and his wife Christina. Christopher comes from a long line of bakers—he’s a fifth-generation baker. His great-great-grandfather, Robert Freeman, made the journey from Brackley, Northamptonshire in 1820 on a hay wagon and began working as a baker in South Grove, Highgate. By 1827, Robert had opened the first Freeman family bakery on Highgate Hill, starting a tradition that continues today.
