Darren Heyman brings a unique perspective to his work, having experienced life as both a documented and undocumented immigrant. Having lived in six different countries, he truly understands the challenges involved in navigating the path to legal status. He graduated from Northwestern University School of Law in 1999, one of the nation’s top law schools, and began his career at the international law firm Hogan Lovells, where he specialized in international arbitration. Darren also holds an MBA from the University of Cambridge in England and is currently completing his Ph.D. at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Fluent in English and French, Darren also speaks some Russian and Spanish. He is licensed to practice law in Illinois and focuses on federal immigration and bankruptcy law. In Illinois, his practice areas include gaming, corporate structuring, reinsurance, consumer credit finance, litigation, employment, and contracts.
