Back in 1930, Laura Wolstein opened a small ladieswear boutique on St. Hubert Ave in Montreal. Customers quickly fell in love with the warm, personal service she offered—a spirit that still defines the company today. After a robbery in 1932, the store relocated to Verdun Avenue, where Laura’s grandson, Kalman Fisher, and other family members helped run the business. Fast forward to 1973, as more women were entering the workforce, Kalman took the helm and opened a second store in the Montreal suburb of St. Laurent. This marked the start of an exciting expansion that eventually brought the brand to women all across Canada.
