About Proof Eyewear Australia
Proof Eyewear was started in 2010 by three brothers from Idaho, but the story actually goes back much further—to 1954—when their grandfather, Bud Dame, opened a sawmill. Growing up, the brothers were surrounded by sawdust and spent plenty of time working in the family mill and enjoying the outdoors in Idaho. The idea for the brand came about when Brooks, one of the brothers, was tinkering in his garage trying to make a bamboo ski pole. While that project didn’t work out, it sparked the inspiration that eventually led to the creation of Proof.
