Terry Durack, co-editor of the Good Food Guide, points out that the distinction between bars serving food and traditional restaurants is becoming less clear. With so many great small bars popping up across Sydney, he and co-editor Joanna Savill have introduced a new category just for them. “A lot of these spots will soon move from the bar section to being regular entries in the Good Food Guide, which really shows the direction Sydney’s food scene is heading,” he says. “At the end of the day, we don’t care where good food comes from—as long as it’s genuinely good.”
