This site is where Orange’s very first bank, the Union Bank of Australia, was established, giving it a rich and fascinating history. The property includes four buildings, each closely connected to the town’s growth since the mid-1850s. Over the years, it has housed a variety of important tenants, including Orange’s first bank, the Commercial Bank, the School of Arts, an early police station with stables, the birthplace of Kinross-Wolaroi School, Queen’s College, as well as private homes and a boarding house.
