About Woodbridge on the Derwent
Back in 2003, we visited Tasmania for a holiday and instantly fell in love with the Derwent Valley. We ended up buying a holiday home here. While exploring, we came across a beautiful but neglected old mansion by the river. It was heartbreaking to see that neither the government nor heritage groups had stepped in to protect it; in fact, back in 1971, they even approved selling off its land to make way for a new bridge.
