About Bacchus Late Bar
Bacchus first opened its doors 20 years ago as a blues wine bar. By the late ’80s, it had started featuring DJs spinning funk and disco tracks. In the early ’90s, the venue expanded to include live shows from indie and rock bands like Dodgy, Kula Shaker, and The Bluetones—all of whom went on to achieve significant chart success. This mix of live gigs and DJ nights has continued ever since. Today, Bacchus showcases local bands regularly, alongside DJ nights covering everything from alternative rock and hip-hop to funk, disco, and more.
