The Bentley opened its doors in March 2006, when Chef Brent Savage and Sommelier Nick Hildebrandt transformed a former pub in Surry Hills into something fresh and exciting for Sydney’s dining scene. Their goal was simple: create a place where the food would both challenge and inspire you, all within a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. On top of that, they offered a unique and carefully curated wine list featuring rare bottles from international boutique producers that you wouldn’t find anywhere else. Thanks to Brent’s bold, flavorful dishes and Nick’s passion for introducing guests to new and exciting wines, The Bentley quickly built a reputation as a destination for adventurous food and wine lovers. Their vision truly paid off — the restaurant was named ‘Best New Restaurant’ at the Sydney Morning Herald’s Good Food Guide Awards, and it has proudly held onto two Chef’s hats and a prestigious wine glass ever since.
