About Good Earth Coffeehouse
Good Earth Coffeehouse first opened its doors in Calgary on a hot summer day back in 1991. It was started by Nan Eskenazi and Michael Going, who shared a simple goal: to serve outstanding coffee and wholesome food with a genuine, down-to-earth vibe. Nan, originally from the Pacific Northwest—a region known for its coffee culture—took the lead on crafting the coffee experience. Michael, raised on ranches in Southern Alberta, brought his love for good, hearty food along with his own recipes. Together, they laid a strong foundation for Good Earth. Over the years, many others have joined the team, each bringing fresh ideas, experiences, and recipes that continue to shape what Good Earth is today.
