About Hotel Snow Crest Inn Pvt Ltd

Dharamsala, located in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh, rests on a ridge of the Dhauladhar range in the Outer Himalayas’ Pir Panjal region. It offers stunning views of the snow-capped Dhauladhar mountains towering above and the lush Kangra Valley stretching below. The name Dhauladhar means “white ridge,” perfectly describing this breathtaking mountain range that rises to about 5,200 meters (17,000 feet). The Kangra Valley itself is a broad, fertile plain dotted with gentle hills, creating a picturesque landscape that once inspired a British official to describe it as a place of “sublime and delightful contrasts.” The peaceful valley lies beneath the imposing, majestic hills, forming a truly unique natural setting. McLeod Ganj, a part of Dharamsala, attracts visitors from around the world who come to receive teachings and blessings from His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Both Western and Indian tourists, along with scholars, gather here to witness the revival of an ancient and fascinating Tibetan culture. The cool climate and high altitude help recreate the original Tibetan environment, adding to the area’s special atmosphere. Dharamsala is alive with the vibrant sights and sounds of Tibetan life. While it has modern touches, the town retains a distinctly Tibetan character. Along the narrow streets of McLeod Ganj, you’ll find shops selling traditional Tibetan arts and handicrafts, and the inviting aroma of Tibetan cuisine fills the air, making Dharamsala a truly captivating place to visit.
