The very first “Modern” Izzy’s opened in February 1987, on Izzy Gomez’s birthday, thanks to Sam DuVall, a seasoned restaurateur from San Francisco. The walls are filled with photos of the original Izzy’s and vintage San Francisco memorabilia, giving the place a rich sense of history that visitors of all ages appreciate. With friendly staff, delicious food, and a warm, inviting atmosphere, it’s the kind of spot that leaves a lasting impression.
