About Mama Africa
Mama Africa brings the vibrant spirit of Africa to life, with music adding an extra layer of magic to the experience. Every night at 8, a live Marimba band takes the stage, filling the restaurant with lively tunes that keep the energy going late into the evening. There are three resident bands, each playing twice a week. At the heart of each group are the marimbas—large wooden percussion instruments similar to xylophones. Originally from Zimbabwe, the marimba’s distinctive sound has become a beloved part of African music. Each band adds its own unique twist, whether it’s a brass section or a soaring operatic tenor. Whichever night you pick, you’re in for a truly special and unforgettable night.
