About Ramson's Resort - Sea View Cottages
Agonda is a stunning three-kilometer stretch of white sandy beach, tucked away among swaying palm trees. Often called the "silent beach," it’s truly one of Goa’s hidden gems. In fact, Agonda Beach is ranked number two on TripAdvisor. The village of Agonda is surrounded by around 120 acres of lush forest, giving it a peaceful, almost sleepy vibe that’s a world apart from the busier nearby beach towns. Here, life moves at a slower, more relaxed pace. You’ll see villagers working in vibrant green paddy fields, fishermen drying their catch by the shore, and catch the faint scent of Goan feni in the air — all part of the authentic local experience. Getting to Agonda is straightforward. You can take a taxi from Margao (Madgaon) railway station or the airport, but it’s a good idea to agree on the fare beforehand. From Chaudi, the closest town, a taxi usually costs around Rs. 150, and it’s about the same price from the Canacona railway station. If you’re already in Palolem and want to visit or stay in Agonda, you can rent a bike, take a taxi, or hop on local buses that run regularly from Chaudi (Canacona) to Agonda. These buses stop near the church at the T-junction or sometimes at the bus stop between Chaudi and Cabo De Rama Fort. From the bus stop, it’s a pleasant 1.5-kilometer walk to the beach. Once you arrive, your main priority will be finding comfortable accommodation that offers basic amenities at reasonable prices. Agonda offers plenty of options to suit different budgets, making it easy to enjoy the tranquility and natural beauty of this peaceful beachside village.
