The Local Taphouse is a cozy, European-inspired neighborhood pub known for its outstanding craft beer, delicious food, and friendly atmosphere. It all started with Steve Jeffares and Guy Greenstone, who dreamed of creating a world-class bar focused on craft beer. To make that happen, they spent a lot of time researching the best beer spots across the US and Europe. Since opening its doors in 2008, The Local Taphouse has become one of Australia’s most celebrated craft beer destinations. In 2016, it was ranked #2 in Beer & Brewer magazine’s Best Beer Venues list. Every year, we offer more than 400 different beers on tap, along with a carefully selected and rotating bottle list that features some of the finest breweries from both Australia and around the globe.
